The best cake in the world

Are you crazy for cakes and already spent a lot of money trying to find the best cake in the world? Well, maybe you are just looking on the wrong place, because to have this piece of paradise inside your mouth, you have to go to Budapest. Fun fact about it: you don’t even have to prepare your wallet for that. The best cake in the world is so affordable that you’ll wish it was by the corner of your house.

Royal is less

To start your search for the most delicious cake, you got to go to Buda side of the city, more precisely, inside the Castle district. More precisely: the street you are searching for is in front of Mathias Church, the beautiful gothic building with a very barroque roof top. Impressive to the eyes and like a fairy tale to the pictures!

Anyway, returning to the magical cafeteria with slices of love in plates, the name is Ruszwurm Cukrászda and the address is this one: Budapest, Szentháromság u. 7, 1014. But, for you to have a much better location, of course I pointed on the map to you:

Depending on the time of the year you go there, you might face some line. The place is very well known for being one of the best cakes you are gonna try and it’s a pretty small and cozy cafeteria. But even if you have to wait a little longer, believe me, it’s worth it.

The prices are more than fair. The slices of the cakes cost something between 1 and 2 euros. In every visit we tried around 5 different pieces and we had one drink each. The total was under 15 euros. It’s really unbelievable. You gotta love that place.

The cakes menu is huge, so you have a great variation. The service is pretty quick and the crew is pretty friendly. Our best recommendation is the house chocolate cake. But you really need to try more than one. For example, the Blackberry chocolate cake was a piece of paradise right in inside our mouths. So, forget the diet and just enjoy that moment on tasting several pieces of cake. It’s worthy and you will regret if you don’t.

The top twos: the house chocolate cake in the front and the blackberry chocolate cake.
